Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

• Account data: email address and authentication records needed to run your journal.
• Journal content: dreams, titles, dates, motifs, and personal context you choose to provide.
• Operational data: subscription status, basic device/browser info, and error logs to keep the service reliable.
• iOS notify list: email addresses submitted via the waitlist form, used only to announce the App Store launch.

2. How analysis works

When you record a dream, we process its text to extract motifs and archetypes and to generate your synthesis and monthly reports. Processing may involve AI sub-processors operating under data-processing agreements. Your journal is never sold, never shared with other users, and never used to train public models.

3. Payments

Web payments are handled by Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record. We do not store full card numbers; Paddle processes billing, tax, and receipts. Future iOS purchases will be processed by Apple under Apple's privacy terms.

4. What we never do

• Never sell your dreams or personal context.
• Never show your journal to other users.
• Never use private entries to train shared or public models.

5. Retention and your rights

We keep your data while your account is active. You may request access, correction, export, or deletion of your journal at any time by writing to contact@thenightatlas.app. Deleting your account deletes your dreams. Waitlist emails are deleted on request or once the iOS launch notice is sent.

6. Security

We use encrypted transport, access controls, and least-privilege infrastructure. No system is perfectly secure; if you believe your account is compromised, contact us immediately.
