Frequently asked questions
What is The Night Atlas? +
The Night Atlas is a dream journal that reads your dreams through the symbols they carry — a slow apprenticeship in the language of your own unconscious.
How is my dream read? +
When you record a dream, the Atlas draws out the motifs and archetypes it carries, then gathers them into a monthly account of how your dream life evolves.
Who was Carl Jung? +
Carl Gustav Jung (1875–1961) was the Swiss psychiatrist who mapped the depths of the unconscious — its archetypes, symbols, and collective strata. His conviction that dreams speak a knowable symbolic language is the foundation of the Atlas.
Is my dream journal private? +
Your journal is yours. Dreams and personal context are tied to your account and never shared with other users.
